Indonesia-based IDN Media announced that it has launched a 50 billion rupiah (around US$3.5 million) IDN Live Streamer Fund to support livestreaming hosts on its platform.

In a statement, the media platform said that the fund will be disbursed to selected livestreamers on its app that have fulfilled “certain criteria.” It has previously allocated similar funds for the writers and chefs in its community.
Aside from the fund, IDN Media can also support content creators by providing studios in Jakarta and Surabaya, recording tools, and promotion through the company’s media assets.
Founded by brothers Winston and William Utomo in 2014, IDN Media operates several online websites such as IDN Times, Popbela, Popmama, Yummy, Fortune Indonesia, GGWP, and Duniaku.
In December 2021, the media firm launched a livestreaming feature in its app. The feature has been equipped with a virtual gift capability that enables viewers to financially support content creators in the platform.
