Tech in Asia Jobs now fits in your pocket [Android app update]

The Tech in Asia app has been a handy tool for catching up with the latest tech and startup news. For our users out there who are looking out for job opportunities in the same space, the latest version aims to help you do that easily; we’ve integrated the core Tech in Asia Jobs features so that now, you can browse and apply for jobs on the go!

Here’s what’s new:

1. View job postings seamlessly

Previously, job postings were linked out to web pages. This meant when searching for jobs, you had to frustratingly toggle between the browser and the Tech in Asia app. We’ve now made it seamless by integrating job postings within the app itself – try it out for yourself by searching or viewing the latest jobs!

2. Build your own personalised feed

If you find yourself hard pressed to follow all the jobs being posted daily, and don’t want to miss out on any exciting opportunities, this one’s for you. Simply indicate your preferences, and we’ll round up a feed of jobs you may like. All in one place.

3. Save and apply for jobs

Just like how you can save articles, you can now save jobs to view later. When you decide to take the plunge, apply within the app itself. Checking back on your application is a breeze as well – you’ll find any updates conveniently under My Job Applications

Download or update your Android app today to experience it for yourself.

Last update: September 15 2016

Five months on, we’ve got plenty of exciting new features to share in Tech in Asia’s Android app update! The latest edition of our official Android app levels up with features you’ve been waiting for, and then some. Think a redesign for smoother community interactions, an enhanced reading experience – and the ability to effortlessly look like a know-it-all with breaking news notifications.

Here are the best bits of the app update:

1. Interact better with the community

The redesign focuses on facilitating interactions with the greater Tech in Asia community. Reading, replying, and commenting to articles is now easier and much quicker to do.

2. Push notifications at your disposal

Choose which notifications you want to receive: a reply to your hot debate on startup ethics, comments on your carefully crafted community article, or breaking news. You won’t miss anything anymore – unless of course, you want to. It’s up to your discretion.

3. Save stories for later

If you consume news on the go, you might find yourself starved for time to finish lengthier pieces as you approach your train stop. Take it easy – just save the story you’re reading with a tap, and continue where you left off later!

Other updates

  • 4 times less data loading images. Your data limits shouldn’t keep you from consuming tech startup news – and now it won’t.
  • Seamless search. Return results on articles, jobs, and companies all at once, with just one keyword in search.
  • The latest scoop on Tech in Asia conferences. Headline speakers, discounts, and latest news are now all in one place.

If nobody stops us, we could go on all day about the nitty gritty features – down to the colour and font size. But wouldn’t you rather experience it for yourself? Download or update the app today to fit Asia’s latest tech and startup news in your pocket.
