Get ready for popular titles, new games, and a new venue for the Pinoy Gaming Festival 2013
Pinoy Gaming Festival (PGF) 2013, the most anticipated annual eSports and gaming event in the Philippines, returns for its third annual installment on October 26-27 this year. Although it used to be held at the SMX Convention Center Halls 1 & 2, PGF has decided to change the venue to accommodate a bigger crowd since this year’s event should attract more attendees. According to an announcement on PGF’s official Facebook page, the event venue has been moved to the World Trade Center Hall B & C. The dates remain unchanged.
This year’s PGF is also the stage for the World Cyber Games (WCG) 2013 Philippine National Finals for Assault Fire, Crossfire, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, and Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition. The champions will be representing the Philippines in this year’s World Cyber Games on November 28 to December 1 at Kunshan, China. Aside from that, PGF will also be hosting the grand finals for the Gigabyte Mineski Pro Gaming League (GMPGL) titles League of Legends and Dragon Nest. In total, there are ten official competitive game titles for this year’s PGF:
- Assault Fire
- Crossfire
- WC3 DotA (DotA 1)
- Dota 2
- Dragon Nest
- Final Combat
- League of Legends (LoL)
- Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
- Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Attendees will also be given a chance to experience S2 Games’ premier second generation MOBA game, Strife in cooperation with Asiasoft. You can also check out awesome gaming gear from Roccat, Corsair, ProLink, MSI, Neolution E-Sport, and Razer. And speaking of Razer, popular cosplay celebrity Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao and Razer’s co-founder, CEO, and creative director Mr. Min-Liang Tan will be at the Razer booth.
Interested attendees may purchase their tickets for 160 PhP ($3.70) per day from SM Ticket Outlets in all SM Cinemas nationwide. Attendees may also buy tickets on the event day itself, but according to PGF’s announcement,they will only be selling 4,000 tickets per day in order to avoid overcrowding.
