Hearthstone gets government approval, coming to China soon

Chinese gamers are already excited about Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and now they have some more good news: the game has officially been approved by China’s Ministry of Culture, which makes it legal to release in China. This isn’t a shock, of course — it’s a collectible card game`that has no real reason to cause controversy — but official approval is still a mandatory step for any Chinese game, and it can sometimes take a while.

With that over with and the game already in a limited beta, Chinese gamers will be hoping that a fully public release is coming soon. There have been no official announcements on that front, but China’s Warcraft fans will certainly be trading digital cards in the new game before the year is over.
