Marketnode, a digital market infrastructure operator based in Singapore, has secured funding from a series A round that drew in investors such as Temasek and HSBC, which led the fundraise.

A joint venture between Singapore Exchange and Temasek, Marketnode aims to develop a multi-asset ecosystem starting in Asia Pacific.

The company will use the investment to scale neutral financial infrastructure across key asset classes and introduce other tokenized asset offerings. The fresh funds will also support the upcoming launch of Marketnode’s investments fund infrastructure, Fundnode.

Since 2020, HSBC and Marketnode have been developing a digital market infrastructure that spans credit, funds and structured products. John O’Neill, global head of digital asset strategy at HSBC, will also join the company’s board of directors as part of the investment.

“HSBC’s support represents the natural extension of our collaboration across multiple asset classes since Marketnode’s inception,” said Rehan Ahmed, Marketnode’s president.
