Late last week, we were surprised at the price of Guild Wars 2 in China, which was set at just $14 (remember, that’s a one-time fee for which you can play the game forever with no additional spending needed). But of course, that was just the standard edition price. Now we’ve got the details on all the Guild Wars 2 packages that will be available starting on April 2, and some of them cost a lot more!
Digital Edition
- Price: 88 RMB (about $14)
- Includes: Digital download of Guild Wars 2
- Notes: Preorders of the digital edition will be limited to 500,000; players who preorder any package will receive four special in-game privileges that will be revealed when preorders open on April 2.
Physical Edition
- Price: 158 RMB (about $26)
- Includes: Install CD for Guild Wars 2, GW2-themed coffee mug, a special in-game pet (a mini chocobo).
- Notes: Players who preorder any package will receive four special in-game privileges that will be revealed when preorders open on April 2.
Subversion Edition
- Price: 198 RMB (about $32)
- Includes: Digital download of Guild Wars 2, four in-game items: a set of armor, a cute miniature pet, a dragon wings skin, and a special skill (that won’t affect gameplay, apparently).
- Notes: Players who preorder any package will receive four special in-game privileges that will be revealed when preorders open on April 2.
