Employees say Facebook is Best Place to Work

facebook-cultureFacebook is best place to work”, employees claimed. The survey was done through Glassdoor, a career community where anyone can find and anonymously share their views about the companies they work in.

Facebook took the top spot with an average rating of 4.6 out of a possible 5.

Most employees are happy with Facebook’s fast and dynamic culture. The opportunity to change the world is also another major plus point. More on Facebook’s culture can be found in the video below.

Google, which is facing problem to stop talents from ship jumping, is ranked at 17th place. The main problem surfaced by current and ex-employees is that Google has grown too huge and bureaucratic. It has lost the start-up culture. Apple, which revenue is forecasted to hit $200 billion by 2015, also shares the same place with Google.

The strength of this survey is that reviews are from ex and current employees. They understand the inside culture and work life better. However the ratings sample size is small with approximately 30 ratings for each company. Thus, the overall ratings may not be representative. Nonetheless, it still provides a good internal overview for job seekers looking to learn more about the companies.
