Indian gaming platform WinZO banks $65m in round led by US VC firm
Indian social gaming platform WinZO has secured US$65 million in its latest funding round, taking its total capital raised to US$90 million to date.

- According to WinZO, this is the first time Griffin Gaming Partners has invested in an Indian company.
- The California-based VC firm was launched by Peter Levin, the co-founder of Nerdist Industries and former CEO of Lionsgate, alongside veteran venture capitalist Phil Sanderson, who will also join WinZO’s board of directors.
- Griffin Gaming Partners has investments in gaming companies like Discord, Subspace, Wave, Tactile Games, and N3twork.
- WinZO’s revenues have grown tenfold over the last 12 months, the company said in a statement. It has also partnered with more than 100 game developers.
- In September last year, the gaming firm raised US$18 million in a series B round led by Makers Fund, New York’s Courtside Ventures, and Bain Capital co-chairman Steve Pagliuca, who is also an investor in Fortnite developer Epic Games.
