Hi there,
When I was in Hong Kong recently, I noticed that its busy streets were full of express delivery services.
One such service I saw was GoGoX, whose main business is transporting goods in urban areas.
GoGoX is one of the companies featured in this week’s Big Story that charts out Southeast Asia’s key logistics players.
The sector has been through some tough times recently, with deals and funds raised in 2024 a fraction of what they were in previous years, as my colleague Jofie notes.
However, there are some green shoots in greentech logistics firms, which have been attracting early-stage funding and may signal better days ahead.
Some logistics players are also taking the opportunity to acquire the operations of local companies to expand in markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Things aren’t all clear for the sector yet, though. Have a look at Jofie’s piece to find out what’s changed since our last update in September 2022.
