ST Engineering Ventures, the new venture capital arm of ST Engineering, has found its top executive.
It is Alex Lin, who had earlier this month left SGInnovate, a government organization that promotes tech entrepreneurship. Lin was the head of ecosystem development at the entity. He revealed his new role on LinkedIn.
Prior to SGInnovate, he headed Infocomm Investments, a government-linked VC firm.
ST Engineering is Singapore’s public-listed defense and engineering group with a market cap of US$8.14 billion.
ST Engineering has committed US$150 million to its VC arm, which will invest in robotics, data analytics, and cyber security startups. It will set up offices in Singapore, Israel, and the US.
