Even though Google’s blog post announcing the launch of Google Chrome OS was filled with missiles, most of us would concur with the improvements that should be made to existing Operating Systems. This is one big opportunity Google is exploiting to grab a share in today’s lucrative Operating System market. This lightweight operating system will cater to netbooks and would be available to consumers in the second half of 2010.
According to Google Blog, “the world’s new Chrome OS is build with speed, simplicity and security and allows its users to get into the web in seconds upon starting up the system. Best of all, users need not deal with irritating viruses because Google has completely redesigned the underlying security architecture of its OS. Say bye to viruses, malware and security updates. And a new competition will bring a lot of benefits for us, the consumers.”
