Striata Lets Banks and Customers Go Paperless

striata

Here’s the first startup that caught my attention at Finovate Asia 2012. Striata from New York allows banks to cut costs by helping them to adopt email billing, saving paper and mailing costs in the process. And the demo was pretty slick too.

Using it is simple. A customer can apply for eBilling with just one click. Once finished, the customer will receive a secure PDF which includes the billing details. After keying in the password, the user can view it. The PDF is interactive and can be sorted based on dates, description, and categories. It can also do things like update your particulars and set billing reminders.

If you have a dispute about a certain billing, you can leave feedback on the PDF which will be sent to the bank.

Check out Striata’s Finovate Europe demo, which is very similar to what they shared at the Finovate Asia event today.
