The company provides artificial intelligence-powered digital health services to its users, mainly marginalized women. It uses natural language programming to understand users’ questions and connect them directly to clinical experts ranging from doctors to psychotherapists.

Maya’s services also include features such as digital prescriptions and in-app video calls, among others.

The startup said it plans to use funds from its latest round to further develop its offerings and expand into the Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, and Middle Eastern markets.

“While improving healthcare accessibility is a challenge around the world, it’s a matter of vital importance for women and young girls in developing countries,” said Jason Bajaj, co-founder of The Osiris Group. “The potential for technology to transform health services is tremendous, especially for poor, hard-to-reach, and vulnerable communities.”

The healthtech firm also partners with hospitals, clinics, businesses, and public health policymakers to improve capacity management and achieve early detection of deterioration from the collected data.

The company aims to be a partner for patients throughout their entire healthcare journey, from query and consultation to diagnosis, prescription, and delivery, enclosed under a microinsurance blanket.
