Founded by Takarn Ananthothai and Chuencheewan Wongsaeree in 2014, Globish provides online one-on-one foreign language classes – including ones for English and Chinese – for students and workers. It currently operates in Thailand and Vietnam.

The company has 400 tutors and organizes more than 300,000 classes every year. It aims to hit 500,000 classes by the end of this year and add 600 more tutors in the near future.

In a statement, Globish said that 80% of its customers are workers who want to learn new skills, with the rest being students. It also looks to post US$35 million in revenue by 2025.

The firm plans to use the fresh funding to expand into more markets, such as Pakistan and Bangladesh.
