Latest Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment video, shows itโs hard to trust strangers
The latest trailer for the upcoming Namco Bandai game, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment introduces the game exclusive character, Filia. The trailer below vaguely reveals her connection to the gameโs antagonist, Poh, who happens to be the leader of the player-killer guild, Laughing Coffin.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment follows an alternate timeline of the anime, Sword Art Online (SAO) and introduces characters and elements not previously seen in the original story arc. Characters such as Leafa, who was introduced at the Alfheim Online arc and Sinon, in the upcoming Gun Gale Online arc for SAO II are part of the character roster. Series mainstays such as Asuna, Lisbeth, Klein and Agil are also present. Hollow Fragment also allows you create your own AI partner that you can issues commands to in battle.
A multiplayer region, called the Hollow Area, is also introduced in the game. This region allows you to link up with a maximum of four other Vita players to create or join raiding parties where you gather crafting ingredients for stronger weapons and equipment.
The game is set to be released in Japan on April 24, 2014 for the Playstation Vita. It has a limited edition collectorโs box that will sell for 9980 yen ($98) that contains a blue-ray disk, the gameโs soundtrack and a DLC code for the wedding dress that your AI partner can wear in battle. Thereโs no word from Namco Bandai as to whether or not Hollow Fragment will see an international release, so SAO fans, keep your fingers crossed!
