    First Video on YouTube

youtubeYouTube has truly transformed the way we share information. Small businesses who normally do not have the budget can leverage this video sharing platform to advertise their business to the world. Even the laymen would find it easy to share videos and have them viewed by thousands and thousands of people.
    All that led to:
    – 10 hours of videos uploaded every minute
    – Hundreds of millions of videos watched daily
    – Talents getting spotted (e.g. Soulja boy)
    – Lots of laughter, inspirations and lessons learnt

But have you wondered which is YouTube’s first ever video?

This video was taken at San Diego Zoo and uploaded by its founder, Jawed Karim on 23 April 2005. Might not be the most intriguing video around but it marked the start of something big.

To Jawed Karim: Thank you for establishing this revolutionary video sharing site for millions to be entertained.
