ResponsAbility Investments has partnered with Accial Capital, an investor in fintech lending portfolios in emerging markets, to act as Investree’s institutional lenders.
Investree says that the fresh funds will enable the financing needs proposed by small and medium-sized businesses within its ecosystem.
“We will aim to use the funding from the ResponsAbility-Accial Capital partnership to finance our borrower’s projects that have significant economic, social, and environmental impacts on life, especially in the midst of recovery period due to the current pandemic,” said Adrian Gunadi, co-founder and CEO of Investree.
Founded in 2016, Jakarta-based Investree specializes in supply chain finance. It has recently expanded its business to the Philippines.

The company also helps empower women and mothers with “super-micro businesses” through a partnership with Gramindo Berkah Madani announced last year. These women do not have access to banks and run their businesses using conventional and sharia schemes. Gunadi said that Investree’s platform has so far reached 5,700 of these women entrepreneurs.
