We did an AMA, and here are the top 10 questions we were asked

It’s been more than half a year since I hailed AgilityIO as one of the top 18 Malaysian startups poised to breakout in 2015. Now that I’ve joined this rocket ship, I wanted to find out what the rest of the tech community thought of, or wanted to know more, about us.
Hence, an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on what is arguably one of the most popular tech blogs in Asia was in order.
We received many awesome questions – thanks everyone for being so sporting – which really made us think more deeply about our business. In truth, we were quite overwhelmed by the outpouring of comments – 64 of them in one sitting (and counting)!
We also got to learn some interesting facts about our CEO, Chok Leang Ooi, who answered question after question like a champ:

To summarize, here are the top 10 questions that we got, and our answers to them.
1. Why do you have offices in New York, Vietnam, and Singapore, and how do you manage them?
AgilityIO has been a global team since day one. Singapore is the latest addition to the trio – we started out with offices in New York and Vietnam. Two of the four founding partners are based in Vietnam, where they manage the development team. Chok and Angelina – who oversees the UX team – call New York home.
“Our goal was to help solve the talent crunch problem in SV by creating and training a new pool of talent in SE Asia, and then leveraging the team in the US to help bridge the culture and language gap, and also take on the creative tasks.”
Being distributed allows us to land the best resources at the most cost-efficient locales around the world, so that we can give startups the best bang for their buck.
Through the years, we’ve developed and refined our distributed agile process which allows us to work effectively as a global team, as shown below:
