We’re not kidding. MMORPG CabalSEA has finally gotten a new character class, along with a brand new player versus player map that embraces the classic MOBA meta game.
The Nostalgia Forest map is a new mission battlefield where players must form teams of three and fight to destroy the opposing team’s Altar of Ancient (yes, we know that title is not grammatically correct). Teams earn points for hero and creep kills and for destroying buildings, with these points contributing to the final team score.
According to a press release from Asiasoft, a Nostalgia Forest battle will end when a team manages to destroy an Altar of Ancient, or at the 50 minute mark, with the higher-scoring team the victor.

The new Gladiator class, while much less exciting than the idea of playing Dota 2 in an MMORPG, is still pretty rad. It’s the first character update for CabalSEA ever, and features a new weapon called the Chakram, and a new Rage system that buffs gladiator skills or statistics. The Rage system works like any other Rage system you may have encountered in other MMORPGs; gladiators generate rage through attacks, which can be used to make more attacks!

CabalSEA seems determined to revitalize itself following these new updates. Players returning from hiatus will receive gold coins and special packages every ten levels, while new players will get a welcome package of silver coins, with more silver coins coming their way every ten levels.
Receipt of these coins will also put players in the running for a Razer game peripheral bundle, although they do need to hit level 60 with a character to qualify. There are more coins to be won, but we’ll update on this once we receive further clarification from Asiasoft. Every coin earned every ten levels puts you in the running for more prizes, so keep grinding!
For those interested in pushing the new gladiator class to its limits, there will be a Gladiator Surge battle just for gladiators. Gladiator characters need to be level 100 at minimum, and you will need a team of three to participate. The battles will be showcased on Twitch and other players can vote on them, with the audience favorite standing to win exclusive in-game items. Voters have incentive to vote too; they can receive bonus cash for their support.
The Gladiator class and Nostalgia Forest map are now live on CabalSEA. Now if only Asiasoft could work on getting Cabal II live, too.
Yes, Cabal II is in the works!
