f8 Singapore Kicks Off

Facebook Singapore got a new leader from Google Singapore and apparently has something huge to announce. I was told to put my questions on hold until today. Today has finally arrived and I’m now at f8 Singapore prepping for the event. f8 Singapore is an event for Facebook to get close to the local developer community. The content lineup looks to include open graph, games, and mobile.

Hopefully, Facebook will also unveil its plans for Singapore and Asia; I believe every Asian will be interested to hear what the social network has in mind for the continent. For sure, we’re going to ask some questions related to Asia later in an interview with some of the Facebook folks.

Unfortunately, f8 Singapore is a private invitation-only event. But fret not, I will attempt to keep the blog updated — if there is juicy news leaked at f8 Singapore. Which I kind of doubt. So far all they’re saying are things we have read in the western media and f8 in U.S.

Anyway, stay tuned! Alternatively, you can follow the updates using Twitter hashtag #f8SG. Damn, I don’t think Facebook Singapore will be too happy to see us using Twitter to keep track of the event.
