Enterprise metaverse platform DataMesh has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a round led by SIG Asia Investment, with participation from Singtel Innov8 and Global Brain.

Founded by former Microsoft employee Jie Li and game developer Hao Wu in 2014, DataMesh helps companies to develop an internal metaverse platform for frontline workers in the manufacturing, construction, and operations sectors.
The service can be used for Microsoft HoloLens 2, which leverages mixed reality – a technology that combines augmented reality with virtual reality.
While the company was established in the US, it has a research and development center in Beijing. It’s also currently setting up its global headquarters in Singapore.
DataMesh’s product has been used by customers in China, Australia, North America, and Southeast Asia. It worked with Toda Construction on the New Saga Arena project in Japan, and it collaborated with Singtel on the 5G@Sentosa project in Singapore.
