Kakao Gift operator pours series A funding into Indonesian voucher firm
Aldmic Technology, an Indonesia-based digital voucher startup, announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of series A funding from South Korea-based Coop Marketing, the company that runs Kakao Gift.
After the deal – which was completed last year – the firm changed its name to Aldmic Coopn Digital.

The startup offers vouchers that can be purchased by companies and distributed to their employees as part of a loyalty program. It helped develop Samsung Gifts Indonesia, the local rewards program of the electronics giant.
Recently, Aldmic Coopn launched its business-to-consumer platform called PaysGift, which lets individuals purchase digital vouchers and share it with their family or friends.
Founded in 2015 by Aldwin Wijaya, former Groupon Indonesia executive Rini Cen, and FlowerAdvisor founder Willy Thomas, Aldmic Coopn has partnered with 70 brands across the country.
According to a survey from Global Gift Card last year, the market for gift cards in Indonesia is expected to grow from US$1.4 billion in 2020 to US$2.3 billion in 2025.
