Life insurance company AIA Singapore has partnered with healthtech firm WhiteCoat to create Think Well, a digital mental healthcare solutions platform.
The program will be included in AIA’s corporate outpatient plans, drawing on WhiteCoat’s platform and network of mental health professionals to provide complimentary text-based mental health coaching
After filling out a self assessment, Think Well users can make an appointment on the same day to chat with psychologists and counsellors. Follow-up care, which can lead to video and in-person consultations, may be recommended depending on the user’s condition.
Singapore-based WhiteCoat will also offer a library of articles and videos related to mental health through Think Well.
“Employers have started acknowledging the importance of providing mental health support to create a sustainable and healthy workplace. By developing the first insurer-backed, synchronous text-based mental wellness service through our platform, we want to positively impact workplace mental health through enhanced accessibility, convenience and privacy,” Bryan Koh, founder and CEO of WhiteCoat, said in a press statement.
Think Well is the latest collaboration between the two companies. AIA and WhiteCoat’s partnership began in 2019, when the two firms developed a primary care telehealth service with straight-through insurance claims processing.
Telehealth firm WhiteCoat generated over S$10 million (US$7.7 million) in revenue 2022, which was more than 3x what it earned a year earlier. The startup aims for to double its topline this year.
