Exclusively for Philippine college students: the Philippines Intercollegiate Dota 2 Online Tournament

Summer is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean eSports action should also die down.

Livestrong Gaming in cooperation with EClubstore Malaysia are hosting the Philippines Intercollegiate Dota 2 Online Tournament, a tournament especially for all college-level students in the Philippines.

This Dota 2 league will have two stages. The first is a single round robin with best-of-one matches played from June to August. The top eight teams from there will proceed to the second stage to play best-of-three series matches in a single elimination format, with a best-of-seven finals.

The top three winners of the league will win the following amounts, and each member will also receive five Lockless Luckboxes.

• Champion: Php 3,000 ($68.67)
• 2nd Place: Php 1,500 ($34.33)
• 3rd Place: Php 500 ($11.44)

All five members and two stand-ins of each team must be college students who are currently enrolled in the same school. A mixed team with students and non-student members is not allowed. Registration is free, but you must submit a valid copy of a school ID for all team members. Teams are highly encouraged to seek the consent of and to coordinate with their respective schools, although this isn’t a requirement to join the tournament. The tournament is also open to professional gamers granted that they are still college students.
