What’s Sequoia’s secret behind building successful startups? Find out at Founders Night

The past year was a milestone for Asia’s tech ecosystem when venture capital broke new records – a startup somewhere in the region received funding virtually every other day. With all the hype that comes when a working relationship between a startup and investor is announced, it can be easy to forget that the work has only just begun.
While investors typically take weeks or up to months before deciding to fund a startup, the process taken to build a startup afterwards is expected to go on for years. Sequoia Capital is one venture capital firm that seems keenly aware of that, and has consistently rendered the support its portfolio companies need.
When Indonesia’s top ecommerce startup Tokopedia planned to invest in their technology platforms, it was the team from Sequoia that actively helped to hire and relocate one of India’s best CTOs to Indonesia. It later made use of its extensive network in India to matchmake Go-Jek with two Indian firms, C42 and CodeIgnition for an acquihire when the on-demand services startup needed to expand their infrastructure. For Sequoia, it’s clear that helping its startups attain success is a win-win situation. It’s also the very reason why it has managed to stay on top of the game for decades.
Now, the team behind Sequoia Capital is ready to share a glimpse into the unique approach it takes to build winning companies. If you want to find out more about their key challenges and best practices on creating meaningful and effective relationships with startups, here’s your chance to hear from them at Sequoia’s Founders Night on April 13!

What can I expect?
The conversation of the evening will revolve around building companies – from hiring and scaling, to setting up financial systems and running effective board meetings. Glean some insights from the collective knowledge of Sequoia’s 43 years of experience in investment, as well as its work with global leading brands including Apple, Google, LinkedIn, PayPal, Whatsapp and more.
For this occasion, Sequoia will invite several of its portfolio startups including Carousell, 99.co, and Kfit. The founders will share a firsthand account of how the Silicon Valley investor has worked alongside them to build the companies we know and love today.
This is an invite-only event, with limited slots for only 40 startup founders. If you’re a series A or high-potential seed stage startup, apply to join us before April 11!
Note: Your registration will be subject to curation from the Sequoia team. Only successful registrants will be informed via email. Priority will be given to Tech in Asia Singapore 2016 conference attendees.
