Dragon Quest X 2.1 introduces a new class, and lets you fish and cook!
Square Enix’s Japan-exclusive MMORPG, Dragon Quest X, has finally revealed what we can expect from the 2.1 patch.
This upgrade will introduce a lot of new features, but the biggest addition to the game will be the new tool-using class. This tool-using class will allow for players to befriend machine and material-based monsters to use in battle. As the trailer demonstrates, the tool-using class will work similar to the already existing tamer class that controls other types of monsters in battle.
Dragon Quest 2.1 will also add some fun upgrades like fishing and cooking. To fish, you will need to get yourself a fishing rod and a lure, but once you catch something you can then use the fish for either trade or cooking. And speaking of cooking, the upgrade will now allow for you to enter the Cooking Guild, which will let you use different ingredients to make special items to help in battle.
The upgrade is scheduled for February 27, 2014 on the PC, Wii, and Wii U, but remember the game is sadly only in Japan.
