Founder of Pebble Technology, Eric started building smart watches with a group of friends while studying back in 2008. He launched a Kickstarter campaign in 2012, which became the most successful crowdfunded project in Kickstarter history.

To date, Pebble has sold over two million smart watches, with a revenue of over US$200 million. Following its success, Pebble was acquired by Fitbit in 2016. Currently, Eric works with early stage startups at Y Combinator and advises them on long-term planning and strategies.

Claire Hughes Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, Stripe

Claire is responsible for scaling Stripeโ€™s worldwide business operations to meet the needs of its rapidly-growing user base. She was previously vice president and director for online sales and operations at Google for over 10 years.

Besides having broad experience in developing innovative new businesses and business models, Claire also has knowledge of the rapidly changing digital space as well as experience in leading global business and product teams.

Susan Chen, Vice President of Corporate and Business Development, Mozilla

Susanโ€™s session โ€œGrowth and Sustainability in an Era of Giantsโ€, is happening on Day 2โ€™s Main Stage at 10.45am.

Susan joined Mozilla in 2011 as the Head of Strategic Developments, and has concluded hundreds of million-dollar revenue and global partnership deals.

Prior to Mozilla, Susan was the VP of International Market Development at Entertainment Shopping AG, a venture backed startup where she led the market entry strategy and plan for Japan, China, Brazil and Australia. She also led the market development and partner strategies for Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) in Asia and Latin America.

Garry Tan, Managing Partner and Co-founder, Initialized Capital

Garry is speaking on Day 1โ€™s Main Stage at 3.45pm.

Garry is a designer, engineer, and investor in early stage startups. Some notable successful startups that he has seed invested in include Coinbase, Instacart, Patreon, and more.

From 2011 to 2015, he has invested in and directly worked with over 700 companies. Previously, Garry co-founded Posterous and helped build it to a world-class website used by millions. The site was ultimately acquired by Twitter. He also co-founded the engineering team for Palantir Technologyโ€™s quant finance analysis platform.

Tiger is speaking on Day 2โ€™s Main Stage at 3pm.

Tiger is responsible for developing big-data strategies and optimizing algorithms for Didi Chuxing, one of the worldโ€™s largest transportation platform. Tiger joined Google in 2003, where he was the key designer of Google AdWords, and won the Google Founderโ€™s Award twice for his contributions to the Googleโ€™s core advertising system.

Prior to joining DiDi, Tiger was the CTO of a unicorn start-up in Shanghai, substantially improving the companyโ€™s technology and user experience.

Alex Ibrahim, Head of International Capital Markets, New York Stock Exchange

Alexโ€™s panel on โ€œIPOs in Asiaโ€ is taking place on Day 2โ€™s Main Stage at 1.30pm.

As part of his role, Alex is responsible for attracting new listings from around the world and managing NYSEโ€™s relationship with the hundreds of companies based outside of US in NYSEโ€™s listed community of leading companies. Prior to joining the company in 2000, Alex also held various positions in Brazil and US for a multinational consulting corporation.

Siu Rui Quek, Co-founder and CEO, Carousell

Siu Rui is speaking on Day 1โ€™s Main Stage at 3.30pm.

One of the co-founders of Carousell, Siu Rui currently oversees product and marketing. Since the launch of Carousell in May 2012, Siu Rui has been deeply involved in product strategy, international expansion and capital strategy.

Siu Rui studied Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at National University of Singapore and Stanford University, and dropped out of his Honours year to start Carousell, which became one of the worldโ€™s largest and fastest growing community marketplaces, with over 144 million listings and currently has presence in seven markets.

Cindy Deng, Managing Director, APAC, App Annie

Cindy will be speaking about โ€œState of the App Economyโ€ on Day 2โ€™s Main Stage at 11.15am.

With more than 18 years of sales and product experience in digital advertising, data management, data analytics and enterprise technologies, Cindy is responsible for overall strategies and daily operations in Asia Pacific at Turn.

She has sold and implemented data management and advanced analytics solutions for major Fortune 1000 companies across various industries, such as finance, travel, and technology. Cindy was also previously the Senior Director of Advertising Sales and Marketplaces for Yahoo!โ€™s Asia Pacific operations, and led product management, business strategy and product marketing initiatives.
