Valve invites artists for Dota 2’s Year of the Horse event

Although Dota 2’s Christmas event Wraith Night is still ongoing, the next event is already underway. Today’s announcement on the Dota 2 blog mentioned that the next event will be held at the end of January. It already has a dedicated page, which you can tell by the image and URL , it is related to the ‘Year of the Horse’.

In fact, Valve is calling on artists to make Dota 2 Workshop submissions themed with Chinese New Year, Chinese history, and springtime. All submissions must be tagged with “Spring2014” and should be in the Workshop by January 15, 2014. The rest of the community can rate the submissions to help determine which items should be ported to the Dota 2 store. Although Asian-themed items have already been in the Dota 2 Workshop and Store, this is the first time Dota 2 will be having an Asian-related event in-game.
