So you’re stranded on a desert island. If you could only bring three games with you—three games that you had to play for the rest of your life—what would they be?
(For the sake of making things more fun, let’s say there’s wifi on the island so you can play online multiplayer games. You can’t use it to download new games, though; you’re stuck with the three you pick forever, so choose wisely!)

Xairylle: Dota 2, Starcraft II, Ragnarok Online. I chose games where you’re likely to get something different every time you play. I mean, you can either win or lose and the mechanics are going to be the same, but the events leading to the end result won’t be.
First, I can’t imagine myself getting tired of Dota 2. There’s still a lot for me to do and try! If I’m lucky and my desert island has an internet connection (which I can’t use to get help because I’m cursed to stay on this island), I can play with other people! Starcraft II also doesn’t get boring with the many different strategies you can try. You might be surprised that my MMORPG choice is a really old game, but it’s still golden in my book. In fact, my friends are still playing on the Philippine servers today!

Mary-Anne: World of Warcraft, the full Sims 2 collection, and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. An MMORPG is a must, obviously, and my pick would be World of Warcraft simply because it’s an old, familiar friend that I could never get tired of. There’s really something to be said for a game whose landscape you can just marvel at. Plus there’s so much new stuff in WoW that I haven’t yet had the chance to experience. A desert island would be the perfect place to do so!
For flavor, I’d have The Sims 2, because that’s the best Sims series available now, in my opinion. The Sims 2 never ends and I can dick around with virtual lives forever. As for Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, that game would be able to give me the direction I need whenever I get bored of playing god.

Iain: Wildstar, Planescape: Torment, and Shadow of the Colossus. First of all I would want Wildstar because there’s enough going on in that game to keep me occupied for a long time. That and regular monthly updates mean that I’m never going to get bored. Planescape: Torment is my all time favorite game, and despite completing it a dozen times, I find myself returning to it again and again. A lifetime without it would be unthinkable! I would also sneak in the graphics mods to make it look less like a child’s crude drawing, but I’m sure that would be allowed, right?
Finally Shadow of the Colossus, because that game is never the same game twice. The colossi never fail to impress, and with enough time on a desert island, I would probably get good enough to rack up a decent time trial score. If that doesn’t sound good, I don’t know what does.
In fact, actually, I have a question: when do I leave? Because this idea is growing on me…
