Digital Garage, a Japan-based start-up investment and incubation firm, announced its investment in SV Angel on Friday.
The investment, as the statement says, will strengthen its Silicon Valley investment portfolio and provides Digital Garage with opportunities for indirect investments in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. It will also help Digital Garage gain first-hand information on the industry’s trends.
SV Angel, founded by Ron Conway and David Lee, has made several impressive early stage investments including Google, Paypal, and Twitter. Needless to say, Conway is one of the most influential investors in the valley. Other notable companies in SV Angel’s portfolio are about.me (acquired by AOL), Milo (acquired by eBay) and Path. The investment sum is undisclosed.
