Uber Chengdu office raided by police just days after similar raid in Guangzhou

Uh oh. It looks like last week’s raid on Uber’s Guangzhou office may have inspired other Chinese law enforcement agencies. Today, authorities raided Uber’s offices in Chengdu while dozens of the company’s drivers looked on.
On Sina Weibo, images of the apparent raid have gone viral.

As of this writing, it’s not clear what the results of the raid might be, or whether Uber’s Chengdu office will remain open. Neither the company’s Chengdu Weibo account nor its main Weibo account has posted about the issue.
