Cybersecurity firm Pentera secures $60m series D
Cybersecurity firm Pentera has raised US$60 million in a Series D funding round, its first since early 2022.
The company has not disclosed its current valuation but was last valued at over US$1 billion after a US$150 million Series C round.
The funding was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from Farallon Capital Management. This funding round brings Pentera’s total capital raised to US$250 million.
Founded in 2015 by CTO Arik Liberzon and co-founder Arik Faingold, Pentera focuses on automated penetration testing and cyber defense validation.
Pentera’s software simulates cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities. This highlights a sector deemed critical by research firm Gartner due to evolving cyber threats.
Pentera plans to use the new funds to expand its presence in the US market. It is also exploring potential mergers and acquisitions as part of its growth strategy.
