Yahoo co-founder, Tiger Global join $31.5m round of Indian edtech startup
Indian edtech startup Quizizz, which focuses on assisting teachers through the gamification of educational content, has announced it has raised US$31.5 million in its latest funding round.

- Launched in 2015¸Quizizz has hosted more than 20 million quizzes and lessons, with students answering more than 300 million questions each week.
- According to the company, its platform is currently used in more than 120 countries, and in the US, it serves over 80% of K12 schools.
- Funds raised from the latest round will be used to expand the company’s team in India and the US. Quizizz will also invest in forming partnerships to accelerate expansion in international markets.
- The startup raised US$12.5 million as a part of its series A funding in March this year. The latest funding round values the startup at about US$300 million, according to TechCrunch.
