- Go-Ventures, the investment arm of Indonesian ride-hailing giant Go-Jek, led a US$35.5 million round in Indian mobile gaming company Mobile Premier League (MPL), marking its first investment in the country following its acquisition of three local businesses, The Economic Times reported.
- Indian companies Sequoia India and Times Internet co-led the funding, which also included participation from VC firms RTP Global, BeeNext, Base Growth, and Venture Highway.
- MPL, which aims to be a global platform for game tournaments and distributions, plans to use proceeds to invest in product and user growth in India.
