China gets an official Guild Wars 2 music video

Guild Wars 2 officially launches in China on May 15, and Chinese publisher and operator Kongzhong is definitely going all out to promote the game. The latest offering? A new Chinese version of the game’s theme song, “Fear Not This Night.”

The English-language version of the song has been around for a while, of course, but this video features an all new Chinese version of the song with lyrics translated by famed Taiwanese lyricist Yao Qian. The actual singing, though, is done by Sichuanese singer Summer (吉克隽逸), the Yi-ethnicity pop star best known for her success on the reality singing competition The Voice of China.

Check out the full video below. The Chinese version of the song is actually quite beautiful.
