- Costa Rican investment group OSS Inversiones, oBike’s new majority shareholder, applied for a sandbox license to rent out 500 e-scooters in Singapore under the Omni brand.
- If its application is approved, the company will deploy e-scooters around Orchard Road and Raffles Place.
- OSS Inversiones bought oBike in September 2018, holding a 66.87 percent stake in the company’s global business.
- OSS Inversiones aims to become a global player in the personal mobility device (PMD) scene under a different brand.
