We did away with every travellers scourge – leftover foreign currency. AMA!

Hi there TIA community!

I’m Tomer, Co-Founder and CEO at TravelersBox. TravelersBox is the first global solution for left over currency. You know how at the end of your trip you’re always left with leftover local money you have nothing to do with back at home? We are here to solve that, by placing airport based kiosks around the world, that allow you to deposit your funds to online accounts (PayPal, iTunes, Skype, Pre-Paid Visa, etc).

As for me? I like adventures, I enjoy mountaineering and love taking risks. Honestly, what is better than the roller coaster that we call startups?

Fun facts about TravelersBox:

• Every summer we have a beach volleyball tournament with the well-known trophy. There are some competitive people here at TravelersBox.
• Once a month, we convert the standard happy hour into an all day off-site for the whole company, organized by someone else each month.  There’s a pretty big competition here as well 🙂
• The marketing department has a morning song, right before they start the day. At least that’s what they claim, as they usually end up singing “believe it or not, George isn’t at home…”
• Every time we install a new machine somewhere around the world, it is a company tradition to try a steak in a local restaurant
• I still keep a small jar of mixed coins and bills from places worldwide, just to stay focused on the problem we’re solving 🙂
