The Yam Ah Mee meme continues… But this time around, Yam, as Chief Executive Director at People’s Association, smartly employed YouTube as a channel to invite Singaporean (and perhaps Australian) fans for a movie.
In this short 35 seconds video (below), Yam Ah Mee walks in like how he was tasked to announce the results for the Singapore General Election. Again, he did it with his famous monotonous and repetitive style. The repetitive speech, however, was made artificially.
Nonetheless, Yam Ah Mee’s creative effort to promote the movie night is worth noting. YouTubers apparently love Yam Ah Mee’s new production. One of the YouTube said “He never fails to make my day.” While another stated that “this is a smart marketing scheme.”
The Yam Ah Mee Meme could still go strong days but some creative effort would be required on Yam Ah Mee’s part to keep it buzzing loud.
