Hex Trust, a Hong Kong-based digital asset custody platform, has partnered with Web3 gaming firm The Sandbox to provide custody services for assets such as its digital LAND in its metaverse.
With this partnership, LAND has been fully integrated into Hex’s flagship product, Hex Safe, which enables protection for NFTs, security tokens, and cryptocurrency in the virtual gaming world.
Hex Trust also enables users to buy and sell LAND as well as offers virtual leasing and mortgage services.
Founded in 2018 by Alessio Quaglini and Rafal Czerniawski, Hex Trust’s bank-grade platform caters to institutional investors, corporations, and brands. The firm has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Italy, Dubai, and Vietnam.
Meanwhile, The Sandbox – a subsidiary of Animoca Brands – partners with firms such as Warner Music Group and Ubisoft to create metaverse experiences. Founded by Arthur Madrid and Sébastien Borget in 2011, the Web3 gaming title has seen 40 million installs of its mobile app.
In March, The Sandbox acquired game development studio Sviper to support its expansion into Germany.
