Chatbot platform Yellow Messenger raises $4m series A for expansion
Chatbot platform Yellow Messenger said it has raised US$4 million in a series A funding round from venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners and other angel investors.
The company expects to use proceeds from the round to expand its teams in emerging markets such as Asia and the Middle East. It currently has offices in Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore.

McKinsey & Co. senior partner Anand Swaminathan, former Linkedin India managing director Nishant Rao, Zephyr Ventures partner Monisha Varadan, and Google general manager for Asia Pacific innovation Alap Bharadwaj were among the angel investors who participated in the round.
Founded in 2016, Yellow Messenger was incubated at Microsoft Accelerator and SAP Startup Studio.
The company’s natural language processing technology understands more than 130 languages, including Hindi, Bahasa, Mandarin, and Arabic.
Unilever, Allianz, and Asian Paints are among the company’s marquee clients, according to a media statement.
