Campus Game Fest 2014 brings Singapore’s current tally of gaming expos to 1

Yeah, we’re a sad, pathetic lot, aren’t we? Singapore is getting her only gaming expo this year in the form of the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association’s (SCOGA) Campus Game Fest (CGF).

There have been no confirmed dates yet, though last year’s CGF took place at the beginning of October. SCOGA was spotted last week putting out a job listing for a marketing executive to market a gaming event, and responded to our email inquiry that they were “fortunate to be able to repeat it a second time.”

Licence2Play, dubbed Asia’s coolest gaming event, might also happen, but going by last year’s show content (read: none), there’s a small chance the flagging brand might be scrapped altogether.

Singapore is now quite the pauper when it comes to gaming events, but that’s good for all present and future organizers, because beggars can’t be choosers.
