Founded last year, Rey offers health, life, and critical illness insurance to individuals and groups. It also operates a health and wellness ecosystem through partnerships with pharmacies, telemedicines, and cashless payment providers.

It also launched a new product that allows users to personalize services with the level of cover appropriate to their needs. This includes a debit card called ReyCard for cashless payments at supported healthcare providers.

The company was established by former insurance executives Evan Tanotogono and David Nugroho. Completing the founding team are Bobby Siagian, who previously worked as an engineer in Tokopedia, and Rosi Setyo Nugroho, who has experience as an executive in prominent pharmacy chain Kimia Farma.

In September 2021, Rey raised US$1 million in pre-seed funding from Trans-Pacific Technology Fund.
