How do VCs decide which startup to invest in? Find out at TIA BLR 2016.

2-speakers-2

Entrepreneur or not, you’re likely to be familiar with an oft-repeated maxim startup founders live by: build products people love. What about investors – what principles are used to guide them to success? How do they find investable companies and how do they support them as they grow?

To address your burning questions, Mohit Bhatnagar, managing director of Sequoia Capital and Willson Cuaca of East Ventures will join us at the inaugural Tech in Asia Bangalore 2016. The conference takes place on July 6 and 7 at Manpho Convention Centre.

The startup ecosystem is just getting started in Asia. Investments are up 13.5 percent from the same period last year, largely led by the boom in series A funding (source: Tech in Asia’s March investment report).

While one can easily access the macro trends of money pouring into Asia, the finer details as to how venture capitalists make these day-to-day decisions remain lost on most. To help us understand practices from a VC’s perspective, Mohit and Willson will sit in on an investor’s panel to tell it all.

Hear also the firsthand accounts of how they have backed some of the promising startups we know today. Once the money’s in the bank, it’s only the start of (what is ideally) a long working relationship. What forms of support should investors avail to their startups so they can thrive?
