Cambodian food delivery startup Meal Temple invests in Myanmar-based Freshgora

Food delivery startup Meal Temple Group said it has invested in Myanmar-based Freshgora to expand its footprint in the frontier markets of Asia.

According to a media statement, the local entity will continue to operate as Freshgora and add more services. The companies will also work on developing an on-demand super app for the frontier markets of Asia.

Meal Temple expanded its services to Laos in February when it acquired local food delivery firm MyDelivery using proceeds from a funding round in October last year.

The Meal Temple Group is targeting more than 100 million customers in frontier markets of Asia by the end of the year, with more than 6 million people in the Yangon metropolitan area in Myanmar.
