Telkomsel, AppWorks name 7 startups to form latest accelerator batch

Telkomsel Ventures and AppWorks have named the seven startups that form the ninth batch of their Tinc accelerator program.

The startups come from fields like healthcare, finance, environment, marketing, and smart home technology.

They include PrimaKu, a pediatric health platform that AppWorks invested in last year, and SkorLife, a credit-scoring firm that raised US$4 million in seed funding in May 2023.

Through the six-month program, these companies will work with Telkomsel’s business units to explore how they can be integrated into the Indonesian telco’s ecosystem.

“Leveraging AppWorks’ expertise and extensive network throughout Greater Southeast Asia and together with Telkomsel, we will accelerate their growth and help Telkomsel to create a greater impact on Indonesia’s booming digital economy,” said Jamie Lin, chairman and partner at AppWorks.

The program will conclude in October with demos in Jakarta, with a follow-up session to be held in Taiwan two months later. The startups will also have the opportunity to pitch to potential investors and partners.

Telkomsel launched Tinc in 2018, acting as the company’s corporate accelerator program. Since then, it has supported over 40 startups, including aquaculture unicorn eFishery and healthtech firm Zi.Care.
