The launch, which was held virtually on October 22 this year, saw 20 growth-stage startups selected based on their propensity to disrupt existing markets and solutions and take advantage of opportunities brought by the current economic climate.

The participating startups will undergo a three-month business coaching bootcamp, which includes group-based training on product management, finance, strategic planning, valuation, and market access, among others.

They will also be part of a month-long investor readiness activity to prepare them for fundraising before presenting their solutions at the end of the accelerator.

“Looking beyond the direct benefits that you will attain from this accelerator, we are also placing greater emphasis on access to capital, global expansion strategies, and market access, which is why we have joined forces with Quest Ventures,” ScaleUp Malaysia managing partner Andre Sequerah said in his briefing to the participants.

Startups included in the cohort are:

  • Quadby is a community app for students to find and chat with peers on campus.
