Buzzcity Developer Garage – 24 Sept

Development Garage seeks to provide a channel for developers to share experience, trends and insights on developing and commercializing sites and applications on mobile Internet. In this series, join other like-minded individuals to explore the potential that mobile Internet unleashes.


Speakers


Calvin Cheng and Tudor Munteanu, software developers and consultants from Odeon Consulting, will present insights on the Usability and Commerce on smartphones. They will discuss important lessons derived from the modern history of PCs, smartphones and tablets and how they can be applied in light of the new generation of mobile devices. They would also highlight findings from a recent mobile UI research project supported with hundreds of user interviews. Key findings include:
* How users interact with well-designed mobile interfaces
* Interesting relationships between mobile application owners, creators and their users

Johan D. Kremer, Head of Alliances for SEA, Research in Motion (Singapore), will shed light on the topic Lifestyle Driven by Innovation with BlackBerry by giving examples of how developers have used BlackBerry developers platform to leverage Ads into Push based applications and BlackBerry Theme Studio for theme creation as part of a Digital Marketing campaign. Johan brings with him extensive enterprise experience in Business Intelligence, Managed Data services and Mobility Solutions for Enterprises and Consumers.
