Burberry: The Facebook Trench Coat Campaign

burberry trench coat boysAccording to Reuters, Burberry “hooked up social networking company Facebook to launch a website celebrating its trench coat.”

The website was launched to allow users to share images of them wearing Burberry trench coats. Users can connect to Facebook via Facebook connect while browsing, making it easier to comment, like and share the images.

Just hours after the launch, its artistic and exquisite website design has received very positive response from users.

Notice the familiar social media-ish sharing and liking functions?

Burberry has given all out to make the campaign successful. It has updated its fan page with a nice introductory video that allows people to understand the campaign in a couple of minutes.

Gorgeous website

The website is made up of gorgeous images with people in their trench coats; a gift to our eyes. Navigating from picture to picture is a breeze, since everything is at the background waiting to be clicked. Each image is similar to a Facebook post, and sharing with friends can’t get any easier.
