This upcoming event is jointly presented by SMART Innovation Centre and MIT Enterprise Forum Singapore, featuring Charles Cooney, Faculty Director of the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. The Deshpande Center’s mission is to increase the impact of MIT technologies in the marketplace by bridging the gap between the earliest stages of technology research and market need. Since 2002, 18 commercial ventures spun out of the center have collectively raised $140M in external financing. The SMART Innovation Centre is inspired by the Deshpande Center and is designed to cater to Singapore’s ecosystem. Learn how MIT, using the Deshpande Center model and the SMART Innovation Centre in Singapore solve important societal problems with technology innovation.
