Bring on the GPL! Insidious Gaming's flagship team wins The Legends Circuit 2014 (now with photos)
The Garena Carnival has just come to a close, with Insidious Gaming’s flagship League of Legends team, iSg, winning the Singapore-and-Malaysia-teams-only League of Legends Garena Premier League precursor, The Legends Circuit tournament.
The incredibly long weekend wrapped up with both iSg and iSg Rebirth fighting it out in an epic five-game grand finals. iSg Rebirth was originally in the lead, defying crowd speculation that it would not perform as well given its recent roster change. However iSg soon caught up bringing the score to an even 2-2.
Both teams square off in an extremely close fifth match, and the last game ended quickly with iSg dominating the lanes. See photos of the teams’ prize ceremony here:
iSg takes home S$6,000 in prize money, while second place winner and sister team iSg Rebirth leaves with S$3,000. Both teams have already qualified for the Garena Premier League (GPL), however, and you’ll get to see them in action again as early as next week, when the GPL begins on June 11.
